Mobile Asset Management and Field Service at #SAPPHIRENOW 2014 – See Syclo Apps in Action
I have been getting requests asking where I can see mobile EAM and field service apps (formerly Syclo). Actually there are a ton of places you can find them. The Expert Tables such as Mobile Asset Management in the Line of Business Campus is a fantastic place to start. You will find it at many of the asset intensive industry expert tables too in the Industries Campus such as Utilities, Oil & Gas, Public Sector and Manufacturing including IM&C. They will likely be on an iPad as well as a Windows device.
So when you are looking for these apps, ask for SAP Work Manager, SAP CRM Service Manager or SAP Inventory Manager. When you check out SAP Work Manager, see the Esri mobile GIS and 3D Visual Enterprise integration for innovation with a purpose.
Note you get to see the pre-release versions of the apps that are coming at the end of June before anyone else.
You can also find them at Test Drive Tables where its your opportunity to play with them yourselves. There will be someone at the table who can walk you through them too. If you go to the Technology Campus at see the Innovative Mobile Apps Table (TEC344), you will find them on a variety of devices such as iPads, iTouch, Android tablet, and Windows 8 tablets. They all look similar from device to device but since they are running natively, they use native controls and behave as you would expect on that specific device. You can also go to the Line of Business Campus Test Drive tables – Asset Management, Manufacturing, and SCM.
You can also see SAP Work Manager in the Networked Economy Showcase where work orders for the vending machine are handled for the technician.
Lastly, there are a number of demo theaters where you can sit back and get a 20 minute demonstration. You can find them at the following sessions.
