Most everyone would admit that the ability to prioritize is critical to managing your life. I think this is even more true for busy businesspeople like sales and marketing executives, who often juggle competing priorities and tasks.

Most executives today are inundated with data. But useful insights are few and far between, and there is even less guidance on what they should focus on to meet performance objectives.

Sales and marketing executives need an easy, accessible way to the see the status on all their different projects and domains at a glance. They need to see exception alerts and notifications showing both the worst-performing area in terms of campaigns, pipeline, customer sentiments, as well as activities that have wildly exceeded expectations like promotional offers, product launches and budgets.

Good news – SAP is bringing out a product with just these capabilities at the upcoming SAPPPHIRE Now show June 3-5. SAP is releasing a new marketing performance dashboard as part of the SAP Cloud for Marketing solution.

This dashboard provides executives notifications for exception-based insights that require immediate action, such as a budget that will imminently be overrun and campaigns that are not performing well. On better days, they can see hit offers and successful product launches. The dashboard features an intuitive, easy-to-use user interface designed for today’s busy executives who not only wants to know what, but why.

Lots of people within the organization stand to benefit from using the marketing dashboard. For example, sales and marketing execs use the dashboard as a common platform for working together managing campaigns and leads. The head of marketing can view integrated reports across CRM and other systems, surfacing actionable insights. The IT department will appreciate the out-of-the-box CRM and ERP iFlows with easy extensibility. Business users, meanwhile, will find the dashboard easy to use and personalize for their own purposes.

An early user of this dashboard from a consumer goods manufacturer said it enables sharper focus on business priorities. “With SAP’s marketing performance dashboard we have empowered our marketing leaders to take charge and stay on top of business performance – no more hassles with spreadsheets and presentations,” he said.

This dashboard runs on any source systems, but is pre-integrated with SAP systems (CRM, ERP, CEI, and JAM). It also allows integration with key partners like Adobe, Marketo, Netbase, Avention and FanAppz. The product is delivered on the public cloud for quick onboarding, quarterly non-disruptive upgrades and easy extensibility across the Web and mobile platforms.
