Case

Vendor invoice need to pay in 2 installments.

1 installment

1st installment is 60% of the invoice amount

If paid between 5th of the next month, will get a cash discount of 2%

Net due date of 1st installment is 10th of next month

2nd installment

2nd installment is 40% of the invoice amount

If paid between 20th of the next month, will get a cash discount of 2%

Net due date of 1st installment is 25th of next month.

Solution:-

We need to create 3 payment terms

1st one for 1st installment conditions

2nd one is for 2nd installment condition

3rd one is for activation of installment process, which one will assign in invoice.

Step 1

Creation of payment term

Creation of 1st payment term as PT01

Here we fixed the base line date to 1st of next month .

Get a discount of 2% within next 4 days i.e. 5th of next month, and net due is after 9 days of base line date i.e. 10th of next month.

Creation of 2nd payment term as PT02

Here we fixed the base line date to 1st of next month.

Get a discount of 2% within next 19 days i.e. 20th of next month, and net due is after 24 days of base line date i.e. 25th of next month.

Creation of 3rd payment term for installment setting as PTIN

Here we only checked the installment payment only

Creation of installment % settings

We will assign 2 normal payment term PT01 and PT02 to installment payment term PTIN with installment number with % .

End user testing

Post an invoice by maintaining the payment term PTIN

We post the document on 26.5.2014

2 document should be post with same document number

1st will 60% of invoice i.e. 60000, cash dis. 2% within 5.6.2014 and due 10.6.2014

2nd will be 40% of invoice i.e. 40000, cash dis. Within 20.6.2014 and due 25.6.2014.
