My name is Flavio and I am from Italy.

I am an ABAPer since 2009, mainly for SD, MM and PP reports and maintenance (ECC 6).

I really like to learn and try new technologies and products and I enjoyed participating in recent openSAP courses about HANA, HANA cloud and mobility. SAP openUI5 is also a great area of interest.

I discovered ADT and ABAP in Eclipse about one year and a half ago, it was release 2.0 on Juno at that time, and I played with it at home, in the SAP NSP environment. Recently, after the Thomas's blog about the Feature Explorer, I have upgraded to 2.24 in Kepler, and completed the Beginners Tour:

This was indeed great and I do believe it will help to onbord new developers. The only remark I have is that, unfortunately, in my case I will not have the actual possibility to use it in real life, in the daily job, due to several reasons (company old system releases, security and administration matters, etc.). I fear other developers currently are in this situation.

About my favourite feature in the beginners tour, like others have already mentioned, is the code completion and variables refactoring.

Additional features that I like is the History View with the comparison editor (between active and inactive versions) and the code templates.

Thank you so much for the great job done!

Happy coding,

Flavio
