In 2013, SAP in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka had organized a series of events called SAP Osmosis - which was focused on enabling the students with the latest technology such as Cloud, Mobility, In-memory computing (SAP HANA) and other interesting topics. The places where these were organized were Tumkur University, National Institute of Engineering, Mysore and at SAP Labs.

The next Osmosis event was organized for around 40 students of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) on May 11, in Bangalore. It was an interactive and engaging session, where we took them through a session around SAP corporate profile. This was followed by an address by Vidya on Big Data and SAP HANA. The students were made to play a game around the IPL Auction followed by a demo of our Formula 1 solution as used by McLaren. This not only helped them gain a better understanding of the power of SAP HANA, but kept them involved and interested. We also leveraged this opportunity to talk about Techniversity, and made an announcement about the larger Osmosis session that we are planning to organize in our SAP Labs India, Bangalore campus towards the end of July.
