Latest Learn BI Tutorial Stats – YouTube vs SCN

I’ve looked at this before with Lumira. This is updated data.

There are free tutorials on the BI tools at sap.com/LearnBI Official Product Tutorials – SAP BO BI Suite

This looks at the number of views by product.

First I looked at Lumira Cloud:

I really like the “Did you know” and of course it says IDT and Web Intelligence tutorials are high.

The above views show SCN page views Crystal 2011, Dashboards, IDT and Web Intelligence are high.

The above is the view by month since inception.  Note the usual dips in views around December, around the holidays.  Otherwise the trend is going up.

I exclude the main landing page (sap.com/LearnBI) from the number of views since it will skew the results.  Story telling time.

The tutorials also appear on YouTube – see New SAP Analytics Training Channel on YouTube – Subscribe Today

Using the ranking functionality in Lumira, the above shows the top 5 views by product on YouTube for 2014.  Note SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio is number 3.

That changes however when looking at SCN views – Dashboards are #3 and Design Studio is no longer in top 5.

Any ideas as to why?
