Migros, intelligence, and an Electric Utility Speed Reporting with SAP HANA and IBM System x

SAP HANA is a flexible, high-performance analytics appliance, which can analyze large volumes of data in real time. This in-memory computing appliance from IBM and SAP is based on IBM eX5 and X6 flagship systems, IBM’s General Parallel File System (GPFS), SUSE Linux and the SAP HANA software. In-memory computing is a technology that allows the processing of massive quantities of data in main memory to provide immediate results from analysis and transaction.

Attend this session to gain insight into this new technology and how it applies to SAP Business Warehouse and SAP Business Suite application landscapes. Learn about the principles of in-memory computing, the architecture, components and benefits of the IBM Systems Solution for SAP HANA, its delivery, operational, and support aspects.  Learn how an electric utility has reporting queries that can run as much as five times faster and how Migros speeds availability of sales, inventory, and financial data to identify slow-selling products 98% faster.
