Unlocking Innovation in Chemical Industry using In-memory Computing

As North America continues to recover and we march on towards Energy independence we are optimistically faced with a future of stable oil prices and a resurgence of manufacturing in the US.  In this resurgence, technology will play a role in innovating old processes, increasing efficienices, unlocking opportunities and making innovation the key differentiating capability that is a “must have”.

In the Chemical industry, this differentiation through specialization and innovation has been going on for a long time.  Companies must innovate and deliver new products on a regular basis, rapidly,  to compete with the commodity chemical manufacturers overseas.  In addition, basic chemical commodity manufacturers must innovate on their processes to unlock efficiencies and in turn “Innovate” on their production processes to remain cost competitive as well as deliver on/maintain the margins that they currently operate on.

To leverage current trends Chemical companies must capitalize on:

  • Commodity price fluctuation
  • Rapid Supply Chain Response
  • Customer SLA based on Margin/Strategy
  • Working Capital Optimization
  • Real time Operational Insights
  • Rapid Compliance Checks across thousands of products
  • Rapid Supply/Demand Matching based on LIMS data
  • Optimization of Raw Materials usage based on costs, characteristics and customer specifications

With this in mind – we would like to invite you on thursday to attend our microforum  – Unlock Innovation at Chemical Companies with In-Memory Computing

Discuss with others in the Chemical industry how In-memory computing is being used and what their plans are to deploy HANA.   We will talk about relevant use cases that can provide value and Rapid Deployment Solution templates that may be available for the Chemical industry

In addition – Visit our Chemical Expert Table and discuss with innovative concepts like Best Run Chemical Roadmaps, Chemical Company in a Box, Augmented Reality, Predictive Analytics, The Internet of Things or Precision Farming.
