This next section of configuration is something new to me. In this step you can define to which TCPIP address lists are transferred from plant maintenance.  Now when we talk about lists, it typically means anything that prints, can be diverted directly to a specific computer.  Now this could be very handy if you don't need a hard copy, but rather need a soft copy that you can carry on your tablet or laptop.  There are a couple of things to keep in mind, from the point of view of the SAP System, the download is handled as a printout. This means that the papers have the status 'Printed' after the download.  This can be done for either notifications or orders.  Let's see what you need to configure.

Within the IMG, go to Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-->Maintenance and Service Processing-->Basic Settings-->Print Control--> Download

First we will select the Define Destination and Database for PC Download.

The first thing will be to create a new entry.

the application area:

You can select whichever area you want.

Then enter in the RFC destination (you may need to talk to your basis team to determine if the RFC exists, or if you need them to create you a new one).

The PC Database is the location file location you want to save your printouts to.

That's all there is to it.  I haven't used this functionality in the past, so if you notice anything I left out, please comment on this post.
