Lufthansa Systems takes-off with more than 1,000,000 SAPs on Fujitsu FlexFrame and SUSE Linux

Over time, the expansion of IT infrastructures can lead to complexity which brings along a loss of transparency, reduced efficiency and high costs. Simplification combined with a smooth migration concept can be the way out of the dilemma. Lufthansa Systems did the crucial step towards simplification and consolidated all SAP systems running on various UNIX derivatives on the Fujitsu FlexFrame solution based on SUSE Linux. Today, more than 15 aviation customers with more than 100 SAP systems are run on a disaster resilient infrastructure, which is highly efficient, easy to manage and optimized to quickly adopt innovations from SAP, e.g. SAP HANA.
