Following a trully successfull Start-up Focus Day in Athens on November 2013, it was Cyprus' time!
More than 95 participants joined the start-up Focus 2-day event in Nycosia, on 4-5 April.
Event figures are impressive for Cyprus, given its size, and the positive feedback we got from all participants was overwhelming.
On Day 1 we had 60 participants from 30 companies and 7 pitches from 15 Startup companies and on Day 2 we had 35 participants from 20 companies.

Day 1 was about getting their attention. The highlight of the day was off course the 2 pitching sessions where 7startups positioned their solutions, illustrating that there is already a pretty established ecosystem with some extremely mature solutions in some cases! It’s worth mentioning that on the first day we had about 60+ attendees from 30+ companies, the majority of which were startups.
Day 2 was about introducing them to HANA. The way to do that was by getting them up close and personal with the platform. We asked each of the startups to send us their «technical» guys for an intensive, crash course, hands on session. Approximately 35 people from 20 companies attended. We spent the whole day taking the attendees through extremely technical hands-on labs on real HANA infrastructure hosted on Amazon, guiding them every single step of
the way. We really look forward in enabling and supporting them to reach to a HANA enabled product. :smile:
