They are building extension support for new data connectivity

Question and Answer:
Q: Can we expect custom calc on HANA views?
A: can do this with HANA as offline source today
Looking at online
Q: Many tools only leads to confusion and higher TCO for customers
A: Heard this loud and clear; working on this
Q: Does this require ESRI licenses? Can this work with ESRI on premise and ARCGIS online servers?
A: Yes
Q: Regarding the geo-information: Currently, only cities with 100,000 inhabitants are supported. Will that change with this partnership?
A: Able to leverage whatever ESRI provides
Q: What version is exactly being released for Sapphire, 1.16 or 1.17?
A: not sure yet
Planned innovations – some may be at SAPPHIRE – may change
Q: what release will have SAP BW connectivity?
A: Expect 1.17 or 1.18
Q: Will Lumira and Explorer become one integrated product in the future?
A: continue to add exploration with Lumira
Not planning to have Lumira be a legal successor to Explorer
Q: Will there be a path from Exploration View Sets to from Storyboards at the least?
A: Yes
Q: Will the offline mode of Lumira to HANA be improved so it doesn’t need SQL knowledge?
A: Don’t Know

Q: Lasso components to drill to charts?
A: can do that now – filter or exclude
Q: Are the Mike Bostock D3 samples shown in this deck going to make its way into Lumira?
A: Can’t comment on specific D3 visualizations will make
Visualizations on D3 can be created by you and use in Lumira
Q: Will there be any drilldown capability within the Storyboard mode?
A: Yes working on that
Q: What are the possible embedding capabilities with Lumira 1.6 (with office suite, …)
A: via URL; working on MS office integration with Lumira – no specifics
Q: So within a Formula to define a Measure, you currently cannot refer back to a Dimension (for example)
A: Add to idea place
Q: Will the BW connectivity for datasets be like a HANA online experience vs data acquisition?
A: will be online
