About Myself This is Sreeram Kumar adisetty,I’m one of the SCN members since Nov 20, 2006 and I have around 9.5 years experience in SAP.

Did you know about Eclipse before you took this ABAP in Eclipse Explorer challenge?I have just heard about Eclipse and never explored the options
even.

Do you think the feature explorer is helpful to onboard new developers? :-  After reading the article on Eclipse and after went through
many blogs on this topic , I’m 100% confident that the feature explorer is very much helpful for the beginners and new developers at the same it may take considerable time for veterans to move to this feature.

My Observations I am working on SAP GUI Editor with many years and of course I like SAP GUI very much may be due to 3 major reasons : 1. Because of its navigation 2. No other alternatives in the Market 3.As using it since many years has a bond of comfort with SAP GUI .But always I had a thought , for working on Android, java/j2ee application I’d to move on eclipse (just an idea don’t know how to use that also) , that time I thought it would be better if all things will come under 1 roof to give more friendly environment to the user/customer using that facility. When I read this AIE
now SAP is fulfilling this gap very closely I believe.

As I said already may be it will take considerable time for veterans like to me to move to AIE but we should move on to get the great advantages.

Seems debugging area is tough with this.

What is your favorite feature of the beginners tour?

1.Delete Unused variables.

2. Linkage between AIE and SAP Editor could be favorite feature of the beginners tour.

I’m not specifying specific names as it should be useful to all and I will personally inform my fellow mates (all) to read this .

Finally it’s really a great innovative idea that educating people to get ready to workon different IDE.
