SAP is releasing Fiori Apps on several different application areas as part of UI FOR EHP7 FOR SAP ERP 6.0.

We can find many useful apps in Production Planning and Control area and particularly, the new SAP Fiori Apps for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) should make the job of the MRP controller easier

On the following link it’s possible to take a look on the MRP apps using a click-through demo:

      Hi Caetano Almeida

we have HANA DB as a secondry DB to ERP, will it work for MRP fiori app or is it mandatory to have HANA DB as a primary DB only, please suggest.

      Hi Srinivas,

When working with the SAP FIORI Apps for Material Requirements Planning, the SAP HANA database is mandatory. The restrictions for the MRP Fiori apps are documented in SAP Help.

You can find the information in link bellow or use follow path:

      Hi Nancy,

I have gone through all the details, but no where it is mentioned that weather HANA DB has to be primiary or secondry(Side CAR).

      Hello Srinivas

The mrp fiori apps require HANA as primary DB of the ERP system.

      Hi Caetano,

We have a plan to start Fiori in our org and I'm doing a feasibility study.

As I understand, many of the Fiori functionalities (Fact sheets, analytical reports, MRP etc) run only on HANA.

Transactional apps for HR, Sales, Finance, PR/PO releases etc only can be used with other Databases as a backend, as I understand.

      Is that correct?

      Thanks,

      Prem

      Hi Prem

I'm not familiar with Fiori Apps from another application areas, only from PP. For the MRP apps, I can confirm that HANA must be the primary database.

      Prem,

The  Fiori Apps Library allows you to filter those Fiori tiles that require HANA db.  From left column, select All Apps and then look for the filter icon near bottom of screen, select Filter: Database.
