April 6th– 8th marked the Spring 2014 Midmarket CIO Forum at the Sawgrass
Marriott Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. With almost 200 attendees, golf,
receptions, boardroom sessions and basketball playoffs happening, the CIO’s had
to think and act fast to rise to the challenge of getting the most out of the
event. Realizing the need to aid the attendees with staying alert, focused and
on their “A” game, SAP came prepped with their “playbook” to help attendees get
the most out of their experience.

We were happy to connect and converse with so many
great people while sharing how the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence
Suite of products and tools enables companies of all sizes to realize the
latest innovations with rapid time to value at the most flexible and affordable
costs.  With six
boardroom sessions within two days, we shared how Business Intelligence, Mobility, Cloud, Big Data, Dashboards, and Predictive Insights act as a strategicbusiness enabler and competitive advantage for growth, enabling organizations to:

  • ensure they are making the right investments
  • stay within budget and not over spend
  • treat information as an asset, and
  • achieve greater ROI for the organization.

The CIO’s also educated us! We learned about the exciting and unique use cases for Predictive
Analytics.  Varying  industries from Railroad to Consumer Goods shared how they need answers fast to better predict scenarios and outcomes to
meet the unique challenges they are facing with the rising cost of doing business.  They also shared that they were excited to learn that the SAP BI suite of solutions really does have a sound offering with scalability and reasonable pricing.  One CIO shared, “I learned more about SAP from this session and I like what I see!”.

Many joined us at our booth #315 for the SAP Basketball Challenge.  Many of the CIO’s
took their best shot racing against the clock to see who could get the most shots in before the clock ran out.  They also got to see their stats in comparison to their peers in real time on the SAP Midmarket CIO Forum Basketball Game Analyze using SAP Analytics in action!

In short, the Spring 2014 Midmarket CIO Forum was an awesome event.  With so much sharing, learning and collaboration the opportunities to better serve this community are endless and we’re up to the challenge.
