Search for SAP innovations and new functionality with SAP Innovation Discovery
It happens all the time. A customer asks me what is new in the SAP Solutions. And I would wade through various release notes about the enhancement packs, use the SCN Enhancement Packages for ERP site, and in general look at lot of power points and other documents. A lot of work for a fairly innocuous question.
With the launch of SAP Innovation Discovery solution things became lot easier. With a more friendly display giving a summary of the innovations
And a list of enhancements matching entered search criteria, along with number of features that the enhancement impacts
Drilling down to the detail of each enhancement
An end result is a much easier to consume. Also this solution also comes with some additional information that I was not able to get before, specifically whether or not the innovation requires additional licence on top of the foundation license (Dollar Sign with a line draw though it. Other icons giving additional information about the innovation will be displayed as necessary (e.g. Innovation for In-memory Database, Major Improvement for the User Experience, that the innovation runs on a mobile device).
Initially, the content in Innovation Discovery covers the Business Suite. In future, more products will be integrated into the Innovation Discovery Service to position the tool as the single source to discover new functionality across the SAP portfolio.

Please note that this is the unique access point to business AND technical information on SAP´s Business suite innovations and features, so this is a very good basis for discussions of CEO/CIOs as well as CTOs at customers site for taking decisions concerning innovation adoption. You can easily navigate via Industries or Line of Businesses, use the tiles on specific topics and spotlights (Fiori, new shipments etc) or search the name of innovations / features and their business information provided.
There is also the option to share a link to Innovation Discovery content or to download information.
We are glad to announce that we are working on a redesign of the UI to offer new and advanced search options and will also provide information on planned innovations.
In addition to this the product information shown will be extended, so that also Technology product innovation information will be available.

Is it possible to add SAP S/4 HANA system to innovation discovery ?
We have a SAP S/4 HANA system and it is not visible in the innovation discovery even though the EWA data is available for the system.
