HI Everyone

Please make sure to go to the Sybase download site and grab the EBFs you need for Sybase products.

As we continue the transition to SAP systems, we will be moving to SAP’s Service Marketplace and stop using the Sybase Download page.

Please visit the following link to access your EBFs – the text below is what you’ll find on the page

Please Note
With the transition to SAP support plans and infrastructure you will lose access to the Sybase EBF and Maintenance download site. SAP Service Marketplace does NOT contain patches for older End of Lifed product versions. Should you wish to retain copies of such patches for future use we strongly encourage you to download copies BEFORE you are migrated to SAP support plans and infrastructure. The Sybase EBF and Maintenance download site will be decommissioned at the end of June 2014 after which time no further access will be possible to download such patches.

On the SAP infrastructure only users that have a valid Support Agreement are able to download patches.

Please reach out to SAP Support. They can assist with getting access to credentials for SAP Service Marketplace if you are entitled. If you do not have a support agreement, you will not have access to SAP Service Marketplace.

Contact info for SAP Support can be found on https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/home. Simply click either the Phone or Envelop icon.

This is kind of ridiculous that in order to download bug fixes, we have to log into a specific site and the only users that can do that are the users that specifically have a special userID assigned when the product was purchased.  I can understand requiring that if getting a new install, but why require this for downloading bug fixes?  Makes this a pain for developers who are just trying to test how the new bug fixes will affect existing code on our boxes – typically developers are not the ones who purchased the software in the first place and may not even know who to ask to find out who is…

SAP believes that only customers with a paid support contract can download an EBF or MR build. If you purchase the product without support, you are stuck with the GA build.

Appeon will have different policies than SAP for PowerBuilder that should solve this problem in the future.  However, this would only apply to new release of PowerBuilder by Appeon not older versions such as PB 12.x, 11.x, etc.  We will be announcing more details soon.  If you are not already registered for the PB future Webinar series you can register here: http://www.appeon.com/pbfuture
