SAP HANA Idea Incubator – SAP to Mobile Broadcasting

Dear sap people,

Happy for joined SCN - a network created by sap for the people working in sap is now offering sap people to share the ideas with new mission SAP HANA Idea Incubator. Positively, this is a nice way for developing the upcoming needs of customers by collecting ideas from the people working in sap platform.

My idea is to have messages from sap system to mobile numbers of users. As of now we have the accessibility of all the sap work information using web from different media. My idea.

This will be useful in many perspectives in future as we know our best handy item is mobile than any other thing. We will have benefits like

• Users can respond immediately.
• Users are made aware of the requested information and accessible in hand.
• Users can take action even they are in remote location (even no access to web).….Many more

Yes, everyone has web access in the world at the moment, but the message will be instant.

It is simply like broadcasting the messages to mobile devices from sap backend system using contact number of the users. We can automate these messages based on the requirements like our present automated mailers from process chains.

We already have broadcasting option to mails and standard folders. Sending a report to an iPad is different thing and its device based as well. Mobile texting process can be very easier to provide required business information and immediate action also possible.

We can provide required authorization, authentications to mobile services as well. SAP has many features and its coming with many new innovations every time then messaging facility also will become advantage if we introduce in to product. It’s a quick accessible media even though it requires lot of efforts to bring in to the action.

For example, if business user is on vacation for 15 days and he will not have any information by the time he is returning from vacation. But if we have simple messaging system on what’s happening on business, then he will be updated with summary.
