You may not believe that the Holy Grail exists. Maybe it’s because, if Monty Python couldn’t find it,nobody will. But within the four walls of every organization in the world, the holy grails of innovation are working among us. They’re the ones drinking liters of coffee, listening to the widest variety of music, and cranking out some of the most significant innovation that these companies offer to the market – all without a peep and, periodically, slipping in a game of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
You may not know who they are, where they sit, or what they are called, but we call them innovators – our internal developers – and they are the holy grail of innovation in many organizations.
Developers are a unique group of professionals. They’re creative, intelligent, pioneering, and highly focused. And they’re driven by their need to develop the “next big thing” and be recognized for delivering value to the organization – as well as the developer community.
Developers have the power to add unique value by introducing innovative solutions, and using the right tools to develop software that can transform a company’s vision into reality. While they may not make the final decision on what technology to invest in, they certainly have valuable opinions based on hands-on experience with these technologies and their feedback is essential to key decision makers who value their experience and foresight.
Today, companies can support innovation by leveraging the latest technologies:
With the right tools, developers can unleash their creativity, improve user experiences, and get recognition for their incredible contributions. That’s why software providers, like SAP, are supporting innovation with technologies, like SAP HANA and the SAP Mobile Platform, and tools, like the SAP Idea Incubator and end-to-end developer platforms available in the SAP Developer Center.
Who knows – with the right tools, maybe even Monty Python could find the Holy Grail after all.
