Direct Links to Folders (4.1 SP3)
As some may have seen in the “what’s new in SP3” document, there is a small handy little feature delivered in 4.1 SP3 to provide a link directly to a folder.
This is just like you can already have a direct link to a document (OpenDocument).
Simply right click on a folder and click on the Folder Link.
Copy & paste the link contained:
Share the link.
A person clicking on the link will be taken directly to the folder.
This extends the preferences settings you can already set on users and groups to take users directly to a folder on logon

Is this functionality active by default or do we have to do something from our side to set up this feature?
We upgraded from BO 4.0 sp7 to BO4.1 sp3 recently and when clicking on the Folder Link menu item it returns the following message:
No folder link was configured for objects of type "BI launch pad".
The Document links work just fine.
I'm very excited about this feature, please assist.

got to CMC->Applications->BI Launchpad->Processing Settings
and paste the following URL: http://<your-server>:8080/BOE/BI?startFolder=%SI_CUID%
