TDMS HCM: File Transfer

Many customers want to use File Transfer in HCM due to distributive nature of their landscape. File Transfer is not active in TDMS 4.0 HCM solutions by default. You can activate the File Transfer Solution using the note 1945176. This note contains manual instructions to activate File Transfer for your packages.

After the note is implemented, you would have option to transfer data using Files/RFCs in the following TDMS Solutions:

  • Transfer of PA Data for SAP ERP HCM
  • Transfer of PD and PA Data for SAP ERP HCM
  • Transfer of PD and PA Data for SAP ERP HCM(Expert)

You need to export data into files using the activity “Export Data to Files” in the export packages. Once the data is exported, you can import the data to the receiver system using the “Data Import Through Files for SAP ERP HCM“. You also have the option to choose the export directory where TDMS should export the files using the transaction FILE (Logical Path: DMIS_DEX_ROOT).
