SAP MII for Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V1.14.0  – Implement in as little as 10 weeks

This package is the follower of the SAP MII Batch Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V2.14 with additional scope items for MII for Mill Industry and Discrete Manufacturing.

SAP brings together manufacturing software and services in a new offering that enables manufacturing operations – quickly and affordably. The solution provides support for process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, and manufacturing for mill industries.

  • The example for process industries comprises multiple aspects of batch manufacturing, such as operator work preparation and execution, and includes
work instructions, shift books, and monitoring.
  • The examples for discrete and mill industries are realized as processes using lean user interfaces. These processes include sales and production order creation for discrete or batch-managed material.

The production order is execution on SAP MII. With SAP MII consumptions, goods receipt and valuation of characteristics are done enabling a lean order handling. For better adapting the plan to the execution level the SAP Shop Floor Dispatcher enables interactive dispatching of operations on individual machines and support different types of scheduling, e.g. Insert Operation, Find Slot, Infinite Planning etc.

The integrated business scenario starts in SAP ERP by creating transactional data, for example, process orders and inspection lots, and continues in SAP MII. The first scenario using process orders provides role-specific applications to support efficient manufacturing preparation, execution, documentation, and reporting within three predefined roles and manufacturing operations cockpits: Production supervisor, shift supervisor, and shop floor operator

Key features and benefits are:

  • Increased plant efficiency with comprehensive task and process control, as well as documentation
  • Easy order re-dispatching on ERP
  • Improved operator performance
  • Intuitive, electronic work instructions and automatic data validation for process orders
  • Practical shop user interface for lean production processes in discrete and mill industries
  • Reduced capital expenditure
  • Easy to get started with SAP MII at an attractive price and with quick deployment
  • Low start-up cost and rapid implementation of SAP MII
  • Ability to start with a small number of users then grow with your business needs

    Hello Elisabeth,

You have mentioned that SAP MII for Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V1.14.0 package is the follower of the SAP MII Batch Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V2.14 .

But I am confused looking at version number. Please provide some clarification on the latest version released.

Also while trying to download the package, I can see V1.14.0 link only.

    Please provide your inputs.

    Regards,

    Minakshi Soni

      Hi Minakshi,

      please let me clarify:

The “SAP MII Batch Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V2.14” was the old package with only one scope item for MII for Batch Manufacturing on software version 14.

The “SAP MII for Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V1.14.0” is our successor package with 2 additional scope items for Mill Industry and Discrete Manufacturing. An upgrade version for V2.15 will be released in October.

But you are right, it is confusing.

      Best regards

      Elisabeth

          Hi Minakshi,

I assume the documents are correct and related to SAP MII MFG RDS V1.14. But the headline has an error (V2.14) and this will be corrected soon.

          Sorry and regards

          Elisabeth
