Moving to the cloud to provide real-time, value-based healthcare

As the healthcare industry continues its pursuit to reduce costs and improve care, the use of cloud-based solutions and technology will quickly come into play.  According to Markets and Markets, the “cloud computing market in healthcare is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 20.5%”.  There has been resistance towards cloud adoption in the healthcare industry, with concerns around security and privacy, but these views are changing and healthcare organizations are more willing to store information in the cloud.

This is encouraging as cloud adoption will help healthcare providers integrate, manage and access enormous amounts of healthcare data.  This will enable better collaboration, better metrics, better insights – meaning better management of healthcare costs and more importantly, real-time, personalized care for patients.

Please watch this 3 minute video featuring Martin Kopp, head of Healthcare Providers at SAP, where he talks about how cloud solutions can help healthcare organizations provide real-time, value-base care.
