Technology solutions are a powerful ally for mining companies looking to reduce costs and save money, says Ariel Aguilar, Presales Director at SAP Mexico. Aguilar
explained that, for the past decade, the mining industry has been presenting a growing interest in the acquisition of solutions able to streamline management processes. Especially when facing lower prices in the commodities market, these companies are urged to search for opportunities to optimize through better use of finances, human resources, and inventory management. “Every percentage that you can optimize in your inventory can turn into huge savings,” said Aguilar, also noting that technology adoption is not related to the size of the company itself, but rather to the maturity of the organization.
