SAP Innovation Forum, London 2014 – The Review

SAP held it’s first Innovation Forum in Kings Place, London on March 11th, 2014. The event showed attendees the latest innovations from SAP experts and their partners. Delegates also had a chance to meet and directly hear from SAP customers, learn about their best practice successes and how they’re embracing disruptive technologies to transform their businesses.

The keynote speakers included Timo Elliott, Innovation Evangelist, SAP; Sven Denecken, VP Cloud Strategy, SAP; Shekhar Iyer, GVP for BI & Predictive Analytics, SAP; James Marland, VP Network Growth, SAP; Irfan Khan, SVP & GM of SAP’s Global Big Data Organisation. They kicked off the forum by focusing on the key opportunity areas for Innovation: Customers, Employees, Resources and Networks (CERN) http://www.sap.com/ms/business-thought-leadership.html. They spoke about the importance of customer engagement and trends in the market, necessity to optimise the resources available, the changing role of employees and the importance of building strong business networks.

Other topics covered included subjects like how SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud can help jump start businesses, principles and practices of effective innovation management, how to build a long-term end-to-end HCM system blueprint, understanding cloud technologies, how to power innovation, changing the game of user experience and a session on how to build your own mobile apps amongst other topics.

The day turned out to be a melting pot of great ideas, good conversation and new connections. None of this would have been possible without SAP’s stellar speakers like: Ray Hammond, Gerrit Kotze, Clive Bellmore, Paul Barker, Owen Pettiford, Nick Forde, John Barnard, Tony Read and all the other inspiring speakers.

We also thank our customers who joined us on the day in great numbers, our key sponsors and everyone else who helped bring the Innovation Forum to life.

SAP looks forward to the year ahead and to the innovation journey your organisation will embark upon. For a complete rundown of the day’s activities explore our post-event website: http://preview.sapvirtualevents.com/gb/sap-innovation-forum-london/en/home
