EU drafts conflict minerals regulation

On March 5th 2014 the EU proposed an integrated EU approach to stop profits from trading minerals being used to fund armed conflicts. The approach was presented by Catherine Ashton (HR of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy) and EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht.
