SAP HANA Cloud Portal Movie Critic: Build sites in SAP Cloud Portal
Taking a closer look at the available movies at SAPNetWeaverPortals – YouTube for the SAP HANA Cloud Portal Movie Challenge I noticed instantly the movie “SAP Cloud Portal – How to build sites”. This due to my personal interest in webdesign.
Thus curiosity triggered? Check!
Most likely as many others, the background music of the movies is really well done. A catching tune which accomodates the presentation perfectly. But in first place quality content is more important.
After seeing the movie I was catched by how easy it is to create a site! This by following the “simple” principle drag-and-drop of widgets from the content catalog to the site. However seeing such a demonstration movie does make want to know more about:
- development of widgets
- creation custom themes by own css
- handle access to the site
- technical aspects
- linking with backend data
- …
For sure I will check out the other movies to see whether my hunger for knowledge can be satisfied as well as an answer to my questions.
1 small notification, the movie is almost exactly the same as SAP HANA Cloud Portal — Create Beautiful Websites – YouTube. Perhaps the best of both can be kept on the you tube channel?
Conclusion:
A good movie for those who want a brief view (function high level) on how sites are created via SAP Cloud Portal. However those who are interested in the technical aspect of the how and why, won’t gain a lot. For them, I suppose, more technical movies are available? Or SCN documents? This to find out!
