Dartmouth College Introduced to SAP Student Entrepreneurship Program

On March 5, 2014 I had the opportunity to meet with Dartmouth College and introduce the SAP Student Entrepreneurship Program.

As background, in his inaugural address on September 20, 2013, President Phil Hanlon announced the founding of the Innovation Center and New Venture Incubator for Dartmouth students. The new center will provide flexible work space and an environment where students have access to the resources, connections, experiences, and capital to put ideas into action and start business ventures and social entrepreneurial initiatives.

I met with Jamie Coughlin, Director of the Innovation Center and New Venture Incubator for Dartmouth. After a tour of the facility, I shared that Bill McDermott is the
Executive Ambassador for the new SAPStudent Entrepreneurship Program. And I shared that the program encourages student entrepreneurship and early startups to use SAP’s innovation technology platform to develop new applications and launch successful startup ventures.

I also highlighted how the SAP Student Entrepreneurship Program prepares student startups to participate in the SAP Startup Focus program or to become an entrepreneur.

A follow-up meeting is planned to introduce other Dartmouth leaders to the SAP Student Entrepreneurship Program and the SAP Startup Focus program. I believe Dartmouth will be an early and enthusiastic adopter of both programs!
