SAP NetWeaver Portal Movie Critic: Mobile Portal Introduction

this is my Movie Critic about the video: SAP Netweaver Portal – mobile edition overview

The movie gives you a very interesting and brief introduction about the capabilities of the Mobile Portal. I like the way the movie is produced it keeps you curious about what more will come… very amusingly.

As I’m coming from the Analytics area the topic of mobile information access is very exiting for me. As part of the SAP BusinessObjects BI Suite there is the BI Mobile component available but it requires a BI Platform server. For all customers who are “pure” SAP Netweaver Customers and do not want to deploy this new server type the Netweaver Portal stays the “Number One” Tool for Web Based information Access.

Being able to consume the Analytic Applications on mobile devices gets more and more interesting as “the” tool (SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio) for creating mobile analytic applications is getting more and more powerful. Release 1.3 will come within the next month.

I’m thinking of creating a short video on my own how make a mobile application available in mobile portal.
