There’s big news brewing with SAP Cloud Appliance Library, and I thought I would give everyone a preview of some of the changes we are planning in the not too distant future - for reasons that you will understand after reading this short blog. In the last few months we worked intensively on two major topics which bring value to you:

NEW CLOUD PROVIDER

SAP Cloud Appliance Library is now connected to an additional cloud provider. Yes, that's right. Soon you will have choice! Before we do the roll out and give everyone the chance to choose their preferred provider we would like to start a closed preview with selected customers. If you are interested in signing up, drop an email to cal.admin@sap.com (incl. Name, Company, Email, Phone, Why are you interested and what's yout preferred cloud provider) and we will get back to you shortly with more details on this special preview program.

Please note that if you are selected to participate in this program, you will be required to:

  • create an account with the new cloud provider, if you don't already have one
  • during the preview you won't be allowed to disclose the name of the provider publically
  • provide us with your feedback by way of a short survey at the end of the program

All of that is common sense for a closed preview - but we wanted to let you know upfront to set expectations right. So, if you are looking to try our appliances on a new cloud provider platform, please contact us.

NEW PRICE

The SAP Cloud Appliance Library subscription package is now available for a lower price. Based on market feedback and analysis of other offerings, we decided to lower the list price. If you have been using the various SAP trials via SAP Cloud Appliance Library - check out the subscription package which unlocks the full library.

That's it so far, but there is more news to come in the near future.  We have great things in the pipeline, and are looking forward to CAL 1.14 which is currently planned to release at the end of March.

So long, keep engaged with us! Thank you.
