It has been a while since I gave you an update on the new Support Portal's progress and so I thought it might be a good time to let you know about some of the new features that we are excited to offer you.

In my last blog: "What to expect when you’re expecting….a new SAP Support Portal" I explained how we have simplified the navigation, improved access to applications, are able to offer unique URL’s for every HTML page, login with an email address and we took a look at the new homepage.

Now I would like to let you know about our new cleaner site header design, feedback option and tutorial overlay for the new homepage.

New site header

In order to help customers find what they are looking for more quickly and intuitively we have harmonized the new Support Portal's header design with the look of other major SAP websites.

Here is what it will look like next week:

Here is what the redesigned site switcher will look like when open, allowing easier access to those other popular SAP websites:

We have organized all profile-related tasks and options under your name in the header.

Obviously you'll need to login to see these options. Notice the logout function at the bottom of this list, we know you have wanted this simple feature for a long time:

Feedback option

It is easier than ever to give us feedback. you will find a feedback tab on the right hand side of your screen wherever you are on the Support Portal. You can click on this to give us feedback about the Support Portal, its applications, its content or even to get in contact with our Customer Interaction Center.

Tutorial overlay for the new homepage

We have been working on a great new feature that you may be familiar with if you recently got a new smartphone. This is a tutorial 'overlay' for our new homepage that will guide you through all of the great new features. You can open it by clicking 'Start tutorial', highlighted below:

Then a guided tour will start, highlighting and explaining the new features:

We hope to use that feature with our new generation of support applications, to make them easier to use than ever before.

So I hope those three features have whet your appetite, you are putting the finishing touches to your new Support Portal and are looking forward to sharing it with all of our customers soon.
