Today I went through the Free SAP Learning Hub Course:  ODS10 - OKP SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio 1.0

If you take the course too, post a review at Free SAP Learning Hub Course:  ODS10 - OKP SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio 1.0 and you earn points and a badge.

The course contains PDFs and three long videos to help you get started.  Note that this contains ramp-up learning material from the very first version of Design Studio, so it is dated.  However, I have seen several questions in the discussion forum about how to connect Design Studio to a data source, and the videos here can help you.

Once you are given access to the Discovery Edition, you can search for the Design Studio course by typing in ODS10 in the search criteria:

Then you can add it to your plan and get started.  The PDFs are worth reviewing and I learned about a CSS tool that SAP used while making these videos:

This is the link CSSMate - Online CSS Editor - Editor and it could be useful while building Design Studio applications.

While watching the videos, I am reminded of how far Design Studio has come since the 1.0 version (current version is 1.2):

Now Design Studio supports universes, HTML5 charts, and much more.  Still, if you are new to Design Studio, I recommend starting with this free course.  I recommend having the videos run on one machine while you try to follow along doing the applications yourself on another machine.
