Hack your management! Use technology to improve your work.
Feb 28 – UPDATE: The SAP M-Prize deadline has been extended! Submit your hack or story through
March 31st. Find more details here.
Submit your hacks for the ‘unlimited human potential’ challenge! The Unlimited Human Potential M-Prize is an SAP-sponsored contest created by Gary Hamel and the Management Innovation Exchange in search of innovative ideas to unleash human potential as it relates to leadership, management and work. You can participate by submitting a hack or a story that conveys a disruptive idea, a radical fix, an experimental design, or any other bold idea that can change the way we work by tapping into emerging technologies and bringing people together to collaborate. The main goal of the contest is to identify, develop and recognize those hacks or stories that can make-or-break current management practices.
Special areas of interest include:
- Unleashing human capacity: through work environments and systems that inspire individuals to contribute their full imagination and initiative every day
- Aggregate human capability: by leveraging the power of social, mobile and digital technologies to activate, enlist and organize talent across boundaries
- Create new business models: that improve lives in meaningful ways
Your hacks or stories will be judged by panelists who are well-known for their disruptive ideas. They include:
James DeJulio, co-founder & president, Tongal
Lisa Gansky – Entrepreneur and author, The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing
Gary Hamel – Co-founder of the MIX and author, The Future of Management
Umair Haque – Director of Havas Media Labs and author of Betterness: Economics for Humans
Norbert Kunz, CEO Social Impact GmbH, Ashoka Fellow
Charlene Li – Founder, Altimeter Group and author, Groundswell and Open Leadership
Tom Malone, Patrick J. McGovern Professor of Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management and author, The Future of Work
Nilofer Merchant, Strategist, thinker, and author of The New How and 11 Rules for Creating Value in the #SocialEra
Jacob Morgan – Co-founder, Chess Media and author, The Collaborative Organization
Don Tapscott – Author, Speaker and Advisor on Media, Technology, and Innovation
Winners will earn a chance to be recognized and share their contributions at SAPPHIRE NOW (June 3 – 5, 2014) and at the MIX Mashup (Fall 2014). Based on the potential to produce a viable app, product, company, or even a movement, an entry could also win up to USD $50,000 in funding from SAP Ventures, to go towards the formation of a new start-up company or venture. (Special consideration for this optional award will be given to entries with the potential to leverage SAP HANA.)
Submit your hack or story today! Preliminary submissions are accepted until March 3, 2014. A final round in which finalists develop their ideas further based on feedback from the MIX editorial team and community will take place by April 14, 2014.
NOTE: The contest is open to almost any developer, partner, customer, and student. Unfortunately, SAP employees cannot submit entries as SAP is the sponsor for the M-Prize.
