All systems go…

Tate & Lyle is a $5b USD food manufacturer that provides ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers around the globe.  The company wanted to grow and enhance their global competitiveness.  As part of this, they wanted to establish a single global IT platform based on SAP.

Tate & Lyle partnered with the SAP Active Global Support organization and implemented SAP MaxAttention support services, a premium support engagement, for guidance and help.  As part of their premium support engagement, they utilized the SAP innovation control center to review existing business processes, drive innovation and implement best practices.

The innovation control center helped Tate & Lyle minimize the need for customization, maximize their SAP standard deployment and ensure best practices.  With the innovation control center, best practices were implemented in the design from the beginning of their project.

As a result, Tate & Lyle was able to establish a single global IT platform – a platform that enables them to operate in multiple regions and markets with small and large entities, all on the same platform.

“Not every CIO gets the opportunity to really reinvent how the global processes are working.  We had to bring together resources across the company to really reinvent our business processes.  SAP brought that global platform for us to build upon that we will use for the next decade.”

-Stephen Byers, CIO, Tate & Lyle
