On the morning of 16th Jan 2014, SAP Labs China signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Talent Development Cooperation with Fudan University in its Zhangjiang Campus. Dr. Ruicheng Li exchanged his opinion with Prof. Sean Wang (Dean of Software School and Computer Science School, Fudan University), then visited the Cloud Computer Room accompanied by the faculty team from Software School. The kick-off meeting was a great success to SAP and Fudan University in cultivating future IT talents.

Highlights

"In order to cultivate the talents with both basic knowledge and practical skills, SAP would like to extend Vocational Training Program to Software School of Fudan University, and this will be the second joint-talent cultivation partner after Tongji University in Shanghai. SAP China Labs is very proud of being the neighbor of Fudan University, so we always stayed in close touch with the Software School and Computer Science School, no matter on Joint-courses and different kinds of activities for students or Joint-research with business lines. With the support of SAP China Growth Plan, we will believe in our close cooperation to cultivate more future IT leader for the industry.” Dr. Ruicheng Li said.

Prof. Sean Wang, Dean of Software School and Computer Science School, Fudan University commented, “SAP Vocational Training is a very innovative concept for the university, the combination of production, education and scientific research is always a big concern for domestic colleges, and we are very happy to have a first-ranked company partner like SAP from the industry, to help bridging the gap between theory and practice, and we are also looking forward to more co-innovation on SAP HANA in 2014.”

“Vocational Training is an international program with more than 30 years history. It starts from Germany in 1979 and has landed onto 5 countries over the world. In China, we have our first batch trainees at Dalian in 2007 and extended to Shanghai in 2012. VT program helps young talents accelerate their career through systematical training, business oriented courses and particular rotational practical phases before their on boarding.” Frank Reinke, Global Lead of IT Direction of Vocational Training said.
