Missing scroll bars in Interactive Demand Planning

Hello All,

Just wanted to share my recent experience in resolving an issue faced by one of our users.

Client unable to see the scroll bars in the Interactive Demand Planning Screen. The user was able to see scroll bars when logged in on another computer. However when I logged in the user’s computer, I wasn’t able to see them.

These were the troubleshooting steps performed:

1. Upgraded the display drivers, Microsoft office, Adobe etc.

2. Applied the latest patches to the SAP GUI.

3. Uninstalled and re installed the SAP GUI.

4. Adjusted the screen resolution.

The above did not help resolve the issue. I figured out that the user had changed the fixed width font from 11 (default) to a higher font. So I changed it back to the recommended size, closed all the existing SAP screens and the log on pad and restarted the computer. The issue is fixed. User now has scroll bars as usual.

The settings can be changed here:

Thanks and Regards,

Rohit.

Rohit - thank you soooooooo much for posting this.

We had the same issue with our user which has been going on for months - also performing all your listed troubleshooting methods.

After changing the font smaller the scroll bars came back!

      Thanks for sharing.

      Hello Rohit,

good document, helped us right now. It seems it is still a problem with GUI 7.40...

For me (and the endusers) it seems stupid to allow bigger fonts which are not working in demand planning...

      Thanks!

      Harald

      Hi Rohit,

The same issue happens in our side for new laptops with higher resolution. I would like to share the additional solution we used to solve the issue as it might be helpful for others.

      1. Go to screen resolution
      2. Change the resolution to lower version eg: 1366 x 768.(in order to avoid screen too small after we do step 3)
      3. Then go one step back to “Display” and set the screen as “Smaller – 100%”.
      4. Afterwards you need restart your computer, so make sure save everything before you do this.

      Thanks,

      Izzie

I faced the same issue. But the resolution which you have suggested didn't work for me.

Kindly suggest if some other step was also performed?

      Thanks.

I changed the font to 11 but the system would always change it back to 12 and the scroll bar would be missing. It only worked when I followed the step below and adjusted the resolution.

      Thank you for the hint!
