Hi Luis,
Nice to see this coverage. Our current SMaMS pilot clients are giving us massive input to get this solution geared for the wider audience. 2014 is going to be an interesting year.

Hi Luis,
this approach sounds great. This is the service model I was looking for. If I got it right, this enables service providers to share SOLMAN services with customers who aren't willing to have an own full-blown Solman at their site.
Sorry, I'll be brutal, but the real question is will it be free or paid?
Hi Antonietta D'Addario
Not at all, any questions is more than welcome 🙂
No CAPEX is needed for customers (no hardware, software, training etc.),
It will be a monthly fee depending on what you require for SolMan offered directly by your selected partner, which will give you the advantage of local economy model.
Yours, Luis
thanks Luis,
I now have all the information I need to consider a similar service

Hi
What are the network connection requirements between customer network and partner's Solution Manager?
Regards
Vladimir Kogan
Hi Vladimir,
It will depend on several factors, i.e. Customer Security & Privacy rules (VPN, PTP, Etc) also customers can use SLD or perhaps usage of VAR's network.
As rule, it might be 2x the normal communication between SAP systems (due to external latency) and encrypted, security is not optional here 🙂
Best Regards, Luis
