PSA Table Provisioning Issue & Resolution

Business Scenario

During the Master Data loads for the 0Employee object, the process chain ends with error. The issue comes up with the error saying “Inactive Transfer Structure for Data Source”.  Given the dependencies of the Master Data loads for the downward flow and the business on this data, the process becomes vital. Also for certain other restrictions, we cannot migrate/transport the object again.

With all these points, I show the available options & the steps which help to resolve this issue in the document below.

Available Options

Whilst trying to activate the datasource table with the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL, the SAP Standard program also fails with the message “Transfer Structure not activated successfully, Activate Manually.”  There is no issues with the source system connectivity or any other authorization issues with the user.

At the same time, if the PSA table in context is checked, we find that the table is already active.

Checking with the RSRV tests on the object shows all success & no errors to actually go ahead & repair.

Final Steps for Resolution

So in order to go ahead with the process, execute the transaction SE14 & provide the database table name.

Once done the system will identify if you have the table entry valid. If valid you would come to the next screen with the following options as shown below :

The “Save Data” & “Delete Data” are the options that the system performs during the database operation. Both the options as suggested by their name itself perform the Save or Deletion of the data during the activation.

Now in order to proceed with the issue resolution, we have to select the “Activate & Adjust Database” option. At this juncture it is important to note that is the data in the PSA table required. In our scenario we could have the data deleted from the PSA & we proceeded with the same

Once this operation completes, re run the Standard Program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL.

These steps would negate the PSA table Provisioning error & you can proceed with the remaining steps to the successful completion of the flow.
