Background Information:

Founded in 1889, Client has approximately 8100 employees. Client is one among the global leaders in manufacture, marketing and distribution of spices, seasoning and flavors to the entire food industry. Customers range from retail outlet and food service providers to food processing businesses.

US Consumer Products: The US Consumer Products Division is client's oldest and largest business. It manufactures and sells spices, herbs, extracts, proprietary seasoning blends, sauces, and marinades.

Client had an implementation of all the SAP practices such as APO, SCM, BPC implemented since last 7 years. They are currently into the Production support engagement with our company.

Client has upgraded their BW System from v7.02 SP05 to v7.02 SP06. Client also upgraded individual HR module at SAP R/3.

Below are the Pre-Support Pack upgrade activities involved:

Steps for moving data from ECC delta queue to BW delta queue.

Pushing the delta from ECC to Delta Queue:

- Execute the transaction lbwe.
- Below is the screen you will see. Click on job control icon.

- above screen will be populated.
- click on first start date tab.

Select immediate mode

Save the setting.

- Then click on Print param tab.

Select local and click on tick mark and then execute the schedule job tab.. this will move all the delta from delta queue to RSA7 queue.

Perform this activity on all the applications you see in lbwe transaction and which are active.

The one which is in gray color you do not have to worry about it as they are not active.

Check Delta Queue RSA7 in source system side i.e. at R/3 side

It may have some of the LUWs yet to be pulled.

Run the info packages for these delta data sources as it may also have the data as of for repeat of last delta.

Running twice of some data source will remove the possibility of data being remaining in that particular data source.

To make things easy for every support pack upgrade create a separate delta queue clearing process chain in your system and run the chain at least twice before the upgrade starts.

Setup table clearing activity:

This activity is to be done to clear all the setup tables in the system before the support pack upgrade.

Transactions LBWG or program RMCEX_SETUP_ENTRIES is to be run to perform this process.

RMCEX_SETUP_ENTRIES:

Provide Application areas as in 12 – LE Shipping BW etc.

This program will give you number of entries you have in the setup table.

We can delete the entries in it by clicking the button provided in it

Or else you can directly use LBWG to delete the setup table data in the application component.

Cross verification:

We can use SMQ1 or LBWQ to cross verify weather there is any data remaining or not.

SMQ1:

Further it will lead to LBWQ when executed.

We have to clear all the LUWs in the queue provided here if any remaining.
