Analysis OLAP and Oracle OLAP

We are pleased to announce the availability of the Oracle OLAP driver for Analysis edition for OLAP.

The driver is a separate download to BI4.1 and you can get it from Service Market Place with the following steps:

  • Go to
  • From the left menu, click on “Support Packages and Patches” then “Search for Support Packages and Patches”
  • In the “Search Term” field, type “ORACLE OLAP DATA PROVIDER 2.0”
  • Follow the link from the search result

Once the driver has been installed, restart the APS with the MDAS service. After this, within the OLAP Connections page in the CMC, you will see that Oracle OLAP is included in the list of providers.

  • Hello Ian,

Nice add-on this is exactly what we are looking for.

I could not find a hit  in the search results, followed your exact instructions. Can you confirm that this is indeed out there.

    • Hi Shiva

There does seem to be an issue with Search today. The alternative is to navigate

      • Go to
      • From the left menu, click on "Support Packages and Patches"
      • Click on "A - Z Index" and click on "O"
      • Click on "ORACLE OLAP DATA PROVIDER 2.0" and then on "# OS independent"
      • Follow the link to download.

      • Ian,

That din't work either, could this have anything with SID I am using? We have a full license for 4.1 and I can see all other software.

        Coming back to the driver:

        1. Does it support 4.0

        2. I am assuming this faciliates the connection to Oracle 11g OLAP cubes

      • Hi Ian...

I have a trial version of SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for OLAP and we need to interface with Oracle OLAP cubes... I cannot download the data provider via the link as I cannot access the marketplace as a trial user. Is there any other way of getting this driver?
