Inside Track Washington DC 2013

Overview

Thanks to everyone that attended SAP Inside Track Washington DC 2013 both in person and online. This year was again another great event. Thank you too to those that supported the event.,

A big thank you to our Sponsors SCN, SAP Press and SAPRunsSAP.

Wolfgang Hahn was the lucky winner of Implementing SAP HANA

Christoph Rhein was the luck winner of Getting Started with Business Objects Design Studio

All in person attendees received an SAP Services leather portfolio courtesy of SAPRunsSAP .

Dorothee Andermann started the ball rolling with “What the HEC is HANA Enterprise Cloud”, a popular presentation that we enjoyed when it ran over time. The slides and recording will be posted to the wiki.

Derek Loranca was as entertaining as always with his how to Montage of SAP Business Objects. He grabbed the audience with the talk of live use cases and how to best utilize the tools.

After lunch we headed into a favorite subject of mine with SAP Screen Personas. The discussion quickly changed from the discussion of its use cases in business environments to how it could also be used to help developers.

Christopher Salvatore from SAPs Global Customer Office showed the Sales Central iPad Application which is part of the portfolio his teams provides to support SAP Sales Team. Current as well as future Mobile Strategy was also discussed along with the effect Windows 8 tablets will have on the tools used to enhance the Sales cycle. This was a great way to expose how SAP uses a mobile strategy internally and works with its customer (Account Executives).

The day ended with a little fun, we got to laugh at the expense of the host John Astill and Greg Myers by revisiting the Quantum Fit demo jam video followed by a discussion of wearable tech.

Last up was a change to play with Anki Drive and try to figure out how the AI is working and have some fun doing it.

A move

Next year we may are thinking of moving the event to SAP Office in Reston, VA where we will also be co-located with the Success Factors team so will attempt to expand the event beyond our traditional attendees.

Thank you, John, and thank you for hosting us attendees virtually.

I like the location of the Reagan building as it is convenient to the Metro/Subway.

I am sorry to have missed this.

Thank you for wrapping this up
