Checklist for The Ideal Design Thinking Room

checkbox Space: Make sure you have enough space for all the participants
checkbox Room: A light and natural environment to encourage creativity
checkbox Illumination: Plenty of daylight
checkbox Air: Good ventilation
checkbox Acoustics: No echo!
checkbox Elevated tables & chairs: Encourage participation in team process
checkbox Whiteboards & Flipcharts: A lot of these—portable and light weight
checkbox Timer: either physical, or on a tablet (most have a native timer funtion), it should be visibl for everybody at everytime
checkbox Brainstorming material:

checkbox Paper: Flipchart, Brownpaper, Pins
checkbox Sticky notes: as large as possible, a range of colors, 5 different types, no Z-Style!
checkbox Markers: whiteboard markers, permanent markers, many different colors and not too thick
checkbox Prototyping materials:

checkbox Magazines – for collages: different kinds: business, fashion, geek
checkbox Cardboard: different size and thickness
checkbox Tape: duct tape, masking tape, adhesiv tape, different color insulating tape, double-faced adhesiv tape
checkbox Glues: glue stick, liquide glue
checkbox LEGO® or DUPLO®
checkbox Blu Tack®, PataFix®
checkbox Plasticine, Clay
