Suitable Modules for SAP starters

Sap ABAP CRM , Enterprise Portal, Web Dynpro, Workflow : abap is programming language used in SAP module development. So those people who are interested in coding.           

Sap BASIS,SAP NetWeaver: SAP business programmers focus on writing business logic in SAP’s proprietary ABAP language and the implementation work is handled by BASIS people. The SAP Basis person performs his/her activities from within the SAP software as well as at the OS and DB layers/interfaces. If you prefer Network Admin job then opt for SAP BASIS. If you like to do installing  your own windows or likes to play games (PC, PS3,…) then Sap Basis is suitable for you.

Sap MM,SD,SCM,CRM,PP,PM :  You opt for any SAP Functional Module if you have worked in manufacturing / Production business domains. For someone wanting to be a functional SAP consultant. Both undergraduate and MBA are helpful. You can be successful without MBA but you require much more domain experience.

SAP FICO Module, Sap HR module: SAP FICO Module meets all the accounting and financial needs of an organization. This module helps to review the financial position of the company in real time as compared to legacy systems which often times require overnight updates before financial statements can be generated and run for management review.

The FI Module also integrates with HR(Human Resources) which includes PM(Personnel Management), Time Management, Travel Management, Payroll. Document transactions occurring within the specific modules generate account postings via account determination tables.

SAP BUSINESS ONE: which is basically used in small scale industries as a start for getting basic knowledge and functionality for all modules of SAP The most sought after and highest paid module according to me would be FI/CO, BW/BI and CRM.

Education wise you can choose from the following modules

BE in Electronics: SAP BASIS, ABAP

MCA, IT person: BASIS, ABAP, XI , NetWeaver

BE in Mechanical: SAP MM, PP, QM, PS

BE in Electronics: SAP BASIS, ABAP

MBA In Finance: SAP FI-CO

MBA in Sales: SAP SD

MBA in HR: SAP HR.
