IView Creation – Display JAVA Web Dynpro as an SAP Portal iView

   Log into your SAP ESS / MSS portal and select the content administration tab. See your basis/ configuration team if you do not have access to this tab.

  1. Click on the “Content Administration –> Portal Content” tab.

Within the content admin tab drill down on the ‘Portal content’ node of the tree
structure to the logical folder location for your new iView. If you want to
create a new folder follow the below step.

Create new folder for storing the entire object.

Right click on “Portal Content” and select “New –> Folder”.

Provide the folder name and Id and click on finish.

Select “Close the wizard” radio button and click on ok button.

Follow below steps to create a role for the iView.

To create a role right click on the new folder you have just created.

Select “New –> Role”.

Enter the Role Name & ID and click on next button.

Finally click on finish button.

Select Close the wizard and click on ok button.

Your role is successfully created.

Follow the steps bellow to create iView.

 

For this right click on the folder you have just created and select

New –> iView

Now select the last radio button marked as red in the bellow screen shot.

Click on next button.

Now select the first radio button marked as red & click on next button.

Now navigate to the package in which your Project Application object is there.

Select the particular Application for which you want to create the iView & click on next button.

Now enter the iView Name & ID and click on next button.

Select the check box marked as red in the bellow screen which will open a new “Page Wizard”.

Click on next button.

“Web Dynpro Proxy Page” will already selected just click on next button.

Enter the Page Name and ID and click on next button.

Select on of the Layout among the list and click on the “Add” button.

Currently we have selected the “1. Column full width” layout and click on next button.

A summary will be displayed for the iView creation, just click on finish button.

Select the “Close the wizard” radio button and click on “ok” button.

Now inside your folder following objects will be displayed.

Now open the role object.

Right click on role object “Open –> Object”

Now following screen will get displayed.

Now we have to assign the iView to the created role.

To do so right click on the iView you have just created.

Select “Add iView to Role –>Data Link”.

The iView is now added to the Role.

Now we need to define the entry point for the role.

Right click on the created role and select “Open –> Object”.

Go through the below screen shot.

Select the “Navigation” from the Property Category.

Now select the radio button “Yes” of “Entry Point” property and click on save button.

Congratulations, you are done with iView creation.
