SITBLR 2013: My First ever experience at SAP Inside Track

Hello Everyone !!! 🙂

SIT event @ Bangalore happened on Nov 17th 2013 (Sunday). But by looking at the agenda i was bit hesitating to attend it because most of the sessions were not from my skills set and i would like to thanks Kumud Singh for encouraging and making me assure that i would be enjoying it.So I registered myself before 12 hours starting the event (i guess i was the last one). This was the first time i attended SIT event but definitely won’t be my last 🙂 .

SAP Inside Track a community organized event that gives an unique opportunity to meet with fellow community (SCN) members face-to-face, share knowledge, discuss on current topics etc.If you are not aware what is SIT all about, check this out.

My first ever entry into any SAP office felt me good. 😉

Well, before starting any of session a very good video of Mark Finnern Real Founder of SCN-#SCNis10 was played on the screen. It was so funny and i liked it a lot. 😀

Final Agenda for the day:

A very well explained about Opening Session – Rise of MOOCs by Kumud & other members gave us very good idea and understanding about openSAP, openHPI and other online courses.

I also shared my experience on openSAP – Introduction to Mobile Solution Development.

Next session on Hadoop /HANA integration was taken by Stabak Ghosh & Arun Bala Very well presented.

Kavindra Joshi explained about ABAP Debugger Scripting with very good demo.

A short and sweet presentation by Somnath Manna about HANA in SCM space.

Self sponsored Pizza @ lunch was really a nice idea. Everyone enjoyed it. 😛

Speed networking was the best part happened during the whole day. We all got to know about each other especially their SAP work experiences, how SCN has become part of their life. It was just superb & fantastic. 😀   This was a great way to make contacts and form friendships because people talk to each other and they get to know each other & what area they specialize in.

Experience sharing of HANA Application Associate Certification and SAP codejams by Kumud Singh was really worth listening.

The tag line perfectly fits here “Learn at TechEd and Share in Inside Track” 😛 Today only i knew what is full form of HANA? 😛

Vishwanath spoke about SAPUI5/HTML5 & Mobility.

IMG_1616.JPG

SCNis10 quiz conducted by Kumud Singh really brought interest in each and every one present in the room. 😀

      thanks Vivek. 🙂

Isn't it correct HANA - High Performance Analytic Appliance?

      Rgrds,

      Jitendra

people do say that but HANA doesn't have full form, you won't find any document saying that HANA fullform or HANA is abbreviated as High Performance Analytic Appliance

Oh my, Vivek you say 'people do say' but wikipedia also says that. Now that would be interesting as to how you derive your conclusion from? [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAP_HANA ]

      Regards,

      Kumud

      Kumud, anyone can edit Wikipedia,

I don't where but somewhere I did read that it is not the HANA does not have any full form

Neither in HA100 or HA300, its mentioned that HANA stands for High Performance Analytic Appliance

      Thats why I was saying

But as I see I was wrong as SAP itself uses it as seen from this link:

      http://training.sap.com/v2/course/oha10-okp-sap-high-performance-analytic-appliance-10-sap-hana-10-e-learning-095-us-en/

      Seems I was wrong 🙁
