Trying out iPad Simulators with BI Clients

I thought it would be a good idea to see how the applications would look on the iPad/iPhone before placing them in the Mobile BI category on the BI Platform.

First, I tried Electric Plum’s Electric Mobile Studio – a 7 day trial is available.

Using Design Studio from the Launchpad, I select Document Link, copy that, and then put that URL in Electric Mobile Studio:

It displays as follows:

I can filter the results:

What is the downside of Electric Studio – I cannot use Lumira Cloud, and it doesn’t let me record.

So I tried iPadian:

I can record but I think Electric Mobile Studio provides a better simulation experience.

I still cannot get to Lumira Cloud with iPadian either.

What is your experience?

I think missing the touch enabled device in those siumulators is a major drawback though.

I agree - I think Electronic Mobile Studio comes the closest to that.

Tammy, your energy is just amazing, covering all areas As far as I can see towards the skyline.....

I did try to locate an emulator last week as I had issues with 5.07 opening Webi.

The solution I had in the end was using the iPad emulator from xcode.  The idea came from playing with the SDK.

      Thanks as always.
