      Hi,

Can we use any social media data ex. facebook as a data source in SAP Lumira?

With which version SAP Lumira is social, any current one or planning for future releases?

      Thanks.

      Sneha,

I'm not sure I understand that meaning of your question. What is the source of said data?

SAP Lumira is currently a social software, we are active across the globe in multiple languages on multiple platforms, including (but not limited to) Twitter, Facebook, G+, YouTube, and Weibo.

      Please clarify,

      Bijan

      Hi Sneha,

so far Lumira has not integrated any of the social media data and I have not seen that on the roadmap yet. Feel free to submit an enhancement request for that on:

      Hi,

As of today, Social Media text- & sentiment-analysis are more the preserve of Data Services, HANA and Hadoop (at source).

Post-processing, those unstructured data can be surfaced through BI Universes or HAna views for consumption into Lumira.

      Regards,
      H

Absolutely right Henry. Also worth mentioning our free-hand SQL access to Apache Hadoop Hive (0.10). This came with Lumira 1.13.

Data Services is a great way to analyze tweets, and you can use Lumira to visualize - see Data Services with SAP Lumira - Analyzing Tweets - Part 2

      Thanks Clarissa and Henry.

      Henry,

You mean to say we can extract data from BO Data Services, HANA and Hadoop, may be into an file and use this file as a source in SAP Lumira.

This can be a file or SAP HANA view or a BO universe.

      Regards,

      SD
