Have fun at SAP TechEd 2013 Amsterdam!

I’m sitting in the Speaker Ready Room with less than 24 hours for SAP TechEd Amsterdam  to start, and I can’t wait for the flow of attendees to come through the RAI’s doors!

I love this event because it’s filled with the tech geeks and nerds close to my heart, since I’m one too!

This event celebrates learning, knowledge, and being smart. Yes, you’ll see some flash and dazzle, but you’ll get into those detailed hands-on workshops and remember why you’re really here!

There were some great wrap-up blogs from Las Vegas to already give you a secret taste of what to expect here in Amsterdam. One of my favorites was from jelena.perfiljeva that recommends what you put into SAP TechEd is what you are going to get out of it!  And I can’t agree more. 

I know that learning is serious business, but it’s much easier to remember what you learn when you’re having fun and enjoying what you’re doing.

So don’t forget to take time out of your jam-packed schedules to have fun, meet other attendees, and refresh! Also, so often people can take themselves so seriously in the world of enterprise software, but no more! Let’s celebrate the geeks who run this software and be comfortable as ourselves.  This year, there is a no suit rule!  We don’t want the stuffy nature of that suit to constrict your brain from all this important education. Wear your jeans, be casual, be comfortable, and learn!

I also know that that with well over 1000 hours of content to choose from, there is a huge amount of options on how to spend your day and what to focus your learning on.  We have the mobile guide to help you find the sessions you need. However, even with the mobile guide , it can be overwhelming to decide what sessions are right for you, especially if you’re a newbie to SAP TechEd!  So on Tuesday, November 5, I’ll be hanging out in Networking Lounge 13 in Hall 10 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to help you find the content that is right for you!

Finally, I don’t want all the learning happening here in Amsterdam to stop when the event is over.  Take what you’ve learned this week and share it with the SCN community in SAP TechEd 2013: Share the Knowledge. You’ll be able to win fame and fortune badges and points for entering the challenge!
