SAP TechEd Attendee Badge Bling: This Is How We Do It, Baby
Are you already packing your bags for Amsterdam to attend SAP TechEd 2013? If you’re planning to be there for the conference, the first thing to do before you go is to enter your SCN ID in your TechEd registration, if you haven’t already done so. It’s very easy—just follow these instructions.
Once you’re at the conference in Amsterdam, be sure to come by the Clubhouse on the show floor (Tuesday through Thursday) to dress up your attendee badge with stickers of the missions you’ve earned here on SCN, like this (sorry for the grainy photo quality–where’s Martin Gillet with that great camera when I need him!):
Of course, badge bling is not the only reason to stop by the Clubhouse. As Krysten Gentile explains in her blog post, you’ll want to visit the SCN Is 10 history wall (yes, SAP Community Network is 10 years old this year!), sip some espresso from the coffee lounge, play some foosball, and get your (free) photo taken for your SCN profile while you’re there.
Several members of the SCN team will be supporting the Clubhouse in Amsterdam, and we are always eager to meet our community members face to face. Come meet me (Audrey Stevenson), Jeanne Carboni, Marilyn Pratt, Jason Cao, Gali Kling Schneider, Gail Moody-Byrd, and Oxana Noa Zubarev. Let’s talk community!
And as I mentioned at the beginning, you can pick up sticker versions of the SCN badges you’ve earned, plus an additional one just for stopping by the Clubhouse (be sure to get your badge scanned so we’ll know you’ve been there). |
We’ll also have some nice SCN stickers available (one per person—while supplies last).
And while you’re in Amsterdam, take lots of good notes on what you learn in the education sessions. You’ll want to turn those notes into blog posts on SCN so you can qualify for the SAP TechEd Share the Knowledge mission. Read more about that mission in this post by Christina Miller.
OK, time to pack my own bags and get ready to fly. See you there!
wow...so many badges.. great !!!
Audrey sweetie, I'm desolated to tell this but you clearly lack ambition... THIS is badge bling.. http://scn.sap.com/people/jocelyn.dart/blog/2013/11/01/get-your-badge-bling-on--teched-2013-las-vegas-memories
TechEd Amsterdamers - you have some work to do... My faves?
"Blog it Forward!"
"I'm on a mission. Are you?"
"Get Your Mobile App Over Here"
"Geek Girl"
"I code Dothraki"
and of course the ever popular...
"I've got more badges than you" [just don't wear it near Tammy Powlas 😉 ]
Oh my gosh, Jocelyn, were we channeling each other or something? LOL! I was focusing on the SCN badge stickers, but you clearly have me beat in the ribbon section! 😀
Good looking Card with so many badges 🙂
Would surely love to see Tammy's Card
I had the honor of giving Tammy a sheet with all of her SCN badge stickers on it--there was not nearly enough room on her attendee badge to hold them all!
Audrey - thank you for finding me and presenting that to me. Looking forward to seeing others' badges 🙂
I really enjoyed my time with the SCN team while at #sapteched. Krysten Bradley was so patient with the head shots (yes, I went back multiple times) and Jay Chaos got me all blinged out with my badges.
I saved my badge 'ribbons' (unlike Jocelyn!) to use at home, because there is so much wear and tear on them at the conference 😉 . #Suithugger and 'Send out a Raven' were among my favorites, along with Happy Birthday SCN!
Sue
WANNA Have 🙂
Come by the Clubhouse and pick yours up while you're in Amsterdam, Katarina.
I think that both the badge stickers and the ribbons were clever, and they complemented each other well. A lot of people commented to me on mine, so I found them to be a great conversation starter. I encourage everyone at the other TechEd locations to join in the fun.
Well done, SCN team!
Gretchen
Your comment includes exactly the thing we were going for, i.e. that the stickers would be attention getters and conversation starters, giving folks an opportunity to tell others about their SCN experience. Glad you liked them!
How's this for bling!
Can't top that...no siree.
Hi Christina,
Attractive photo! I liked this photo very very much! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Audrey Stevenson,
I think this is the first time we stick stickers in the SAP Teched ID. Is that correct? Two great badges provided by SAP like IBM Club House and SAP Teched Share the knowledge badges. Both look awesome. I missed both the badges, if any new badges are there I will try to achieve in the next SAP Teched. Badges are really interesting to achieve and it motivate us to contribute more and more. Thanks for sharing your exciting experience in SAP Teched. I appreciate your time and support for SCN as usual. All the best for your career. ➕
Regards,
Hari Suseelan
