I've been busy practicing my Dutch for SAP TechEd in Amsterdam. If there's anything that drives me crazy, it's people who don't even try to speak the language in a foreign country. So I'm doing my best, and I think I'm ready to order kip en aardappelen met witte wijn for dinner and probably can check in to my hotel successfully. But when you come by the mobile security booth at SAP TechEd, don't expect me to keep it up for the tech talk!

SAP TechEd 2013 in Amsterdam is set for next week and we're ready to provide a great lineup of sessions that will dive into topics of mobile security. We’ve got all the sessions you’re looking for and we're ready to provide information on all of the products featured in the Mobile Secure portfolio. This blog features all of the sessions related to the portfolio: SAP Afaria, SAP Mobile Documents and SAP Mobile App Protection by Mocana.

Easy access to content and apps is critical to the success of mobile workers in every industry. In our first Mobile Security session of the week, we provide an overview of two additional components of the SAP Mobile Secure portfolio. In MOB118, product managers Britt Womelsdorf and James Naftel will show you how SAP Mobile Documents mobile content management solution can help solve the increasing demand for accessing personal business documents and corporate content on mobile devices. They’ll also explore mobile app security through "app wrapping" with SAP Mobile App Protection by Mocana. This is a fantastic overview session for anyone who cares about mobile security and wants to move beyond security only at the device level.

If you’ve already started securing your mobile devices or if you’re thinking about a BYOD strategy, you’ll want to learn more about SAP Afaria. In MOB119, our expert product manager James Naftel will take a deep dive into SAP Afaria. You’ll learn how to quickly self-enroll mobile devices for enterprise use and gain control by pre-configuring settings and enforcing security and compliance policies on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 devices. Hot topics will include Samsung KNOX and iOS 7.

Mobile and cloud are closely entwined. In our final mobile security lecture of the week you’ll learn how to meet strict security requirements to ensure devices, apps, and content are protected – all in the cloud. MOB123 is a demo-filled session presented by SAP Afaria Cloud product manager Britt Womelsdorf. In this session, you’ll gain insight into how to maintain the highest levels of security entirely in the cloud. Our first cloud solution (sapafaria.com) launched at Sapphire in May 2013 and we announced a new addition to our cloud portfolio at SAP TechEd in Las Vegas last week (read the blog). If you don't have IT resources onsite, we'll show you how to eliminate the complexity and expense of an on-premise installation.

After each of the above three sessions you can meet the product managers for networking Q&A sessions. Get your questions answered in these sessions:

Finally, we have a session that will give an overview of all Mobile Security Roadmaps for the products mentioned above. This will give you another opportunity to meet all of the product managers including our fearless leader Senthil Krishnapillai.

I encourage you to come meet me and all of our SAP Mobile Security experts at ourbooth in the exhibit hall. We’re happy to show you demos and get you started with trials of any of these technologies.

Tot ziens! And see you at TechEd!
